Single Moms
I just wanted to remind you of how amazing you are. Raising a child alone could be extremely challenging, but I promise you that if you remain in position and give it your all, the Lord will reward you beyond measure. I often asked myself why was I chosen to be a single mom, and it took me almost twenty years to fully understand the Lordβs purpose. He chose me, so that I could encourage other women who have children with someone who is incarcerated. I believe every family might have at least one child who has a parent who is incarcerated, and the situation should not be ignored. It is definitely not an ideal situation that anyone wishes for, but it happens more often than not. In fact, this situation can cause a lot of shame, unforgiveness, and regret when it is not handled correctly. Establishing and maintaining a healthy relationship with a parent who is incarcerated might require a lot of effort on your part, but the key is to always consider how important that relationship is to your child. I truly believe that the incarcerated parent has to want the relationship too in order to make it work. You will also be required to set aside your differences for the sake of the child. This can eliminate some unnecessary stress from your life and allow your child to see you operate in love on a different level.πππ½
